  • New Year, New Deal

    Happy New Year!

We all make resolutions around this time of year. I'd like to shed some pounds, get more organized, etc... But, one big ReZ in my mind is to do a better job in Real Estate. That starts now, with my customers and clients. Sure, I could sit here and write a big hype sheet about what I have done and how many designations I have or don't have. But, when the rubber hits the road, the truth of the matter is what am I really going to do for my clients?

I pledge this year that I will listen more. Sounds simple, eh?

Well, I think for me, that will be a key ingredient to making 2007 the best year ever for Real Estate.

     Kind Regards,

    Ken

  • Happy Turkey Day!

Wow! What a feast we had! We had so much food that we didn't have room on the table. We also have a lot to be thankful for. Health, prosperity, blessings everyday. I thank God for His provision and blessings.

     RE Stuff:

Three of my listings are under contract! Yes! I thought it would never come, but suddenly the contracts came in. Of course I've still got my Catonsville listing to sell and I've dropped the price to a level that I feel is a fantastic deal. It's great to get things sold, though, so I'm very pleased to have the contracts I have.

     Upcoming listings:

3360 Wilkens Ave 7-unit boarding house that shows a great positive cash flow

3411 Bateman Ave Massive home that will need work, but has great potential

2600 Rittenhouse Ave Another big home with a nice yard

2 others that are coming up as well. Stay tuned. It's going to be a great year for Real Estate.

Enjoy the holidays, once there're over, give me a call and let's get out there.

    Regards,

    Ken

  • Today is the day!

Here's my first post on my HSB blog. What should I talk about?  Well, how about Real Estate? Ok.... duh, this is a Real Estate site, dude.

Well, let me get down to biz here. First, it's a great time to be a buyer. The prices are great, the rates are great, sellers are giving out great deals. No reason that I can think of not to buy right now. I did manage to get another house this year. Nice property in a quiet stable neighborhood. I feel I got a really great deal.

We also moved to the City from the County this year. Most people in this area move from the City to the County, but I've never been a conformist. The charm of the city, the park and my block in particular were just too much of a draw for me to let it go. My neighbor told me how much he paid and had to renovate it just to live there so I was feeling much better about my deal....

I felt really smart and clever until I got my tax bill. LOL Ouch! Well, I did get free smoke detectors and free trash cans, so I can't complain too much. They even installed the smoke detectors for me. Now, that's service. No one in the County did that.

I guess you can make anything good or bad depending on your outlook. Kinda like the market these days. Wow, what a difference a year can make. But, there's one truth that we can cling to. People need houses. So, buying and selling will continue.

     Onward and Upward! Regards, Ken
